# Borrowing Eligibility

The maximum borrowing limit is determined by the collateral value deposited and the available liquidity for the asset. If there is insufficient liquidity or if your Health Factor is too low, borrowing the asset may not be possible.

The Loan-to-Value (LTV) ratio indicates the maximum borrowing capacity supported by a collateral asset. For example, if an asset has an 80% maximum LTV, then $1 worth of that collateral can support up to $0.80 of another borrow-enabled asset before other constraints are applied. Available liquidity, the user's overall collateral mix, and Health Factor can reduce the amount available to borrow. Check the live Markets page for each asset's current parameters.
