# PRFI Staking

PRFI Staking allows holders to deposit PRFI into collectible NFTs and participate in configured reward distributions. Each NFT has a rarity tier and level used to calculate its share of an available reward pool.

This page covers the live PRFI-token-into-NFT staking system. It is separate from the planned use of NFTs as collateral in PrimeFi lending markets.

## How It Works

1. **Get a PRFI NFT** - Purchase one on [OpenSea](https://opensea.io/collection/primenumbers-prfi-onft) (Base network).
2. **Stake PRFI** - Deposit PRFI tokens into your NFT. This levels up the NFT and increases its reward multiplier.
3. **Participate in rewards** - Available PRFI distributions are allocated according to the active rules, including the NFT's total multiplier (rarity + level).
4. **Merge** - Combine two same-rarity NFTs into a higher-rarity NFT with stronger multipliers.
5. **Claim** - Claim any available PRFI rewards according to the current distribution schedule.

## Reward Sources

A future concept has been described as allocating 40% of PrimeFi lending-and-borrowing protocol profits to qualifying PRFI NFT participants. Treat that component as **planned and inactive** until PrimeFi publishes an activation notice, precise profit definition and exclusions, eligibility rules, distribution contract, and verifiable on-chain configuration. Current reward pools, rates, and claimable amounts can change; no payout, APR, or yield is guaranteed.
